Career
Nyoni, a talented midfielder, started his football journey in Leicester City’s youth system. At just 15 years old, he showcased his skills by scoring twice in 13 appearances for Leicester City’s under-18 team during the 2022–23 season. However, when it came to transferring to another club, an agreement on the fee couldn’t be reached, so it had to be decided by a tribunal.
In September 2023, Nyoni demonstrated his ability by scoring the winning goal for Liverpool’s under-18 team against Everton. This caught the attention of the Liverpool coaching staff, and by October, he had begun training with the first team under Jürgen Klopp. His hard work paid off when he made his debut for Liverpool’s under-21 side in November, followed by his inclusion in the match day squad for a Premier League game later that month, although he didn’t play.
Finally, on February 28, 2024, Nyoni achieved a significant milestone by making his first-team debut for Liverpool as a substitute in the FA Cup match against Southampton. This made him the youngest player ever to feature in the competition for Liverpool, at just 16 years and 243 days old.
