Zwane went to Kingsway High School, where she focused on drama and excelled with five distinctions in her matric exams. After facing a setback with a rejected scholarship application, Luyanda decided to move to Johannesburg. There, she attended auditions, landed some modeling gigs, and did commercial work. Luckily, things fell into place, and Zwane kicked off her acting journey by portraying Lelo in an episode of the soap opera Durban Gen.
